THE FROGGY PROPERTY CARE GUIDE

What Happens When Gutters Stay Clogged?

Clogged gutters can interrupt the intended drainage path and cause overflow. That does not mean every overflow has caused building damage, or that cleaning alone will resolve every drainage problem.

What you may observe

Leaves and debris can block channels or outlets. From ground level, look for overflow during rain, visible accumulation or changes in drainage. These observations help describe the concern without requiring roof or ladder access.

Gutter leaks, incorrect pitch, undersized components or damaged parts can also affect drainage. Cleaning and repair are different tasks.

What cleaning addresses

Froggy gutter cleaning includes debris removal and downspout flushing to check flow. Exterior brightening addresses striping or oxidation where suitable; it does not clear the channel or repair seals.

If problems persist after debris is cleared, arrange assessment of the drainage system rather than assuming the gutters just need another wash.

When to plan the work

Tree cover, leaf fall and observed buildup affect maintenance needs. A fixed schedule will not fit every building. Include height, accessible elevations and any known damage when discussing work.

Roof debris removal can be included separately. Keep cleaning, brightening and repair expectations clear so the proposal addresses the right concern.
